Pierre city officials will hold the second of three informational meetings today (July 9) on a proposed plan to implement a registration, licensing and inspection program for rental housing in town.
The plan calls for all non-owner occupied rental structures within the city of Pierre to be registered and licensed annually and inspected at least every five years.
The meeting is at noon in the Dakota Room at River Cities Transit (1600 E. Dakota Avenue). The final meeting, also at River Cities Transit, will be Monday at 5:30pm.
Following the three informational meetings, Pierre city staff will come back to the commission for action on a proposed ordinance.
