Bruce Springsteen and Patti Scialfa’s daughter, 29-year-old Jessica Springsteen, has qualified for the U.S. equestrian Olympic team. CNN reported Springsteen is currently ranked 27th in the world, and will ride her 12-year-old Belgian Warmblood stallion Don Juan van de Donkhoeve at the Tokyo games, which begin on July 23rd. Bruce Springsteen will be on break from his Springsteen On Broadway run at Manhattan’s St. James Theatre during the Olympic games.
“The Boss'” daughter is one of four riders on the U.S. team along with Kent Farrington, Laura Kraut, and McLain Ward.
Springsteen is currently ranked the Number Three show jumper rider in the country, according to the United States Equestrian Federation — with her horse ranked Number One. According to the report, “The jumping team qualifying event and final at the Tokyo Olympics take place on August 6th and August 7th.”
