Pierre city officials will hold the third informational meeting on a proposed plan to implement a registration, licensing and inspection program for rental housing in town this evening (July 12).
The plan calls for all non-owner occupied rental structures within the city of Pierre to be registered and licensed annually and inspected at least every five years.
The meeting begins at 5:30pm in the Dakota Room at River Cities Transit (1600 E. Dakota Avenue).
Following the informational meetings, Pierre city staff will come back to the commission for action on a proposed ordinance.
