Walworth County Sheriff’s department facilities also are inadequate

At Tuesday’s (July 20th) regular meeting, Walworth County Commissioner Rick Cain responded to Commissioner Scott Schilling’s comment that the commission is “mis-informing” the public on the financial reasons for the jail opt-out.

Sheriff Josh Boll mentioned some of the problems he’s dealing with on a daily basis in the current sheriff’s office facilities in the courthouse.

Cain told Commissioner Kevin Holgard to have this group from Colorado look at the whole picture – not just the Mobridge ShopKo building, but also the need for an improved Sheriff’s Department facility.

The commission expects the Colorado group to present their Shopko building proposal at the August 3rd meeting.
