Things are starting to take shape for the new bridge being built over the Missouri River between Pierre and Fort Pierre.
Project coordinator Denae Johnson says they’re doing the drilled shaft construction.
Johnson says traffic control across the bridge through the end of the year will continue like it has been.
She says the Missouri River remains open to water traffic, but people need to stay away from all equipment.
Johnson says pedestrian traffic in the area is limited.
The project is scheduled to be completed by Dec. 2023.
