FREMONT, NE – A five-run first inning sent the Pierre Trappers to an early lead Friday, but a five-run seventh inning tied the game for the Fremont Moo, who then scored a go-ahead run in the eighth to win 8-7 over the Trappers at Moller Field.
Garret Hill doubled in two runs and Cole Yancey drove in three with a double in the Trappers’ first inning. Colin Adams later homered. But Pierre’s bullpen gave up six runs in three innings. An error by Trappers’ first baseman Kaiden Cardoso scored Fremont’s go-ahead run in the eighth inning. Starter Jaxon Meyer was effective for the Trappers, giving up two runs and five hits in five innings.
