Here are some Feel Good Friday Stories for this week…
1. A mudslide blocked a highway in Colorado last Thursday, and a bunch of people were stranded. So one guy decided to help by clearing the debris himself. We don’t know his name, but he saw a front-end loader nearby that belonged to the Department of Transportation. He knew how to operate it, and found the keys inside. So he hopped in and started clearing the road. A full crew eventually showed up, and they were surprised by how much of the work had already been done. A cop wanted to arrest the guy for it, but the crew said he was a huge help. So they let him go.
2. A family in Wisconsin got their dog back two years after it went missing . . . when they saw it on their local news station’s “Adopt-a-Pet” segment last week.
3. A 66-year-old guy named Tonee Carter plays piano at the Atlanta airport to give people a little mood music on their layover. And a motivational speaker named Carlos Whittaker was enjoying it last week . . .But he noticed no one else was paying attention, and Tonee’s tip jar was empty. So Carlos posted a video to his 200,000 Instagram followers . . . and asked them to send tips on Venmo. And he raised $10,000 for him in 30 minutes. But then the story went viral. And within a week, it was up over 70 GRAND.
4. Some lady was having a bad day, and decided to cheer herself up with frozen yogurt. So she went into the store. But a guy and his kid saw her crying in her car. And when she came back, there was a $10 bill in her door handle, with a note that said, “Your fro-yo is on us. We hope tomorrow is a better day.” (Here’s a photo.)
5. A second grader in Rhode Island named Rowyn Montgomery is going viral for his motivational videos. He says things like “Believe in yourself” and “Everyone’s good in their own ways.” He started doing it after kids picked on him at school, because he didn’t want other kids to feel sad.
