After a competitive selection process, 15 individuals have been selected to be in the Leadership Pierre Class of 2022.
This will be the first Leadership Pierre class for Pierre Area Chamber of Commerce CEO Sara Rankin. She says after having to take last year off, she’s excited to see the program come back.
Rankin says it provides class members with the opportunity to experience the community through tours and activities they may not normally have access to, as well as showcasing the various sectors of the economy.
Members of the Leadership Pierre Class of 2022 are: Julie Bass, BankWest; Josh Bauer, Edward Jones; Amanda Dodson, Delta Dental of South Dakota; Clarissia Drefs, BankWest; Allison Engbrecht, Fischer Rounds & Associates; Jeffrey Hartley, Capital Journal; Cameron Howard, Pierre Regional Airport; Nick Johnson, South Dakota Army National; Guard Jami Larson, Avera St. Mary’s Hospital; Angie Moran, Avera Health; Leslie Murphy, Banner Associates; Kelly Nelson, South Dakota Community Foundation; Adam Sharkey, River Cities Public Transit; Alexis Timmons, Black Hills Federal Credit Union; and Rhea Waldman, South Dakota Discovery Center.
Leadership Pierre is dedicated to supporting the highest quality leadership preparation program for individuals with particular emphasis on specific skills and collaborative leadership seeking positive change in response to civic, governmental, business and industry challenges in the Pierre area.
