The first day of school for Pierre School District students is today (Aug. 19, 2021).
The district’s back to school plan includes information on home health screenings, mask wearing, social distancing, cleaning, visitors to the schools, extra curricular activities, transportation and how they will respond if students become COVID19 symptomatic or test positive.
But, Supt. Dr. Kelly Glodt says, it’s all subject to change.
Glodt says the home health screenings are nothing new.
He says masks are not required.
He says COVID vaccinations aren’t required for students or staff, but the other standard vaccination requirements are still in effect.
