FORT PIERRE – After four years in 11-man football, the Stanley County Buffaloes are back in 9-man play. SC will open its new season Friday in Timber Lake against the Panthers.
Stanley County head coach Max Foth is glad to have the program back in 9-man football.
Foth said that there is a notable difference between 9- and 11-man football.
The Buffaloes lost some good players from a 2020 team that was 5-3 and lost in the first round of the 11B playoffs, but Foth said that there are several good players back.
Foth expressed respect for the Buffaloes’ first opponent, Timber Lake.
Stanley County at Timber Lake can be heard Friday at 6:30 CT on River 92.7. Live and archived audio will be available at the River 92.7 page at the DRG News app and at drgnews.com.
