The first performance of the 50th Annual South Dakota 4-H Finals Rodeo is today (Aug. 20, 2021) at 5pm at the Stanley County Fairgrounds in Fort Pierre.
Tyson Paxton from Isabel is the president of the 4-H Finals Rodeo board of directors. He says there are over 600 contestants (637) competing this year.
Paxton says events are happening in three separate arenas.
He says a weekend admission pass costs $20.
Paxton there’s a great group of volunteers making the 4-H Finals Rodeo happen.
The top four participants in each event earn a spot to compete for saddles, belt buckles, scholarships and other awards.
Again, 4-H Finals Rodeo performances are at 5pm today, 9am and 5pm tomorrow and 9am on Sunday.
