Congratulations to Abbie Pillen on being chosen the Pierre TF Riggs High School Fine Arts Performer of the Week.
Her nomination from band instructor Mackenzie McKeithan-Jensen is below:
Abbie is a senior that picked up percussion for the first time her freshman year. She did front ensemble in the marching band then, then took a few years off. This year she wanted to try again and is on the field. She has been putting in extra time to understand drill and is able to answer questions about the drill for percussion often faster than the director! She is doing exceptionally well – especially for having not done marching band all this time – and is a valuable asset to the team. Congratulations Abbie!
