The proposed Dwelling Rental Registration & Inspection Program Ordinance is on tonight’s (Sept. 28, 2021) agenda for the Pierre City Commission.
The Sept. 14, 2021, public hearing drew a big crowd, but little support during the approximately one hour discussion. Opponents said they should have been included in drafting the proposed rules and the ordinance would end up increasing rental fees for tenants– making housing less affordable.
Among the other items on the agenda are:
-
Bid Award – River Road Storm Sewer Rehabilitation Project
-
Request to Discharge Fireworks – Friday October 1, following Riggs Homecoming Football game
-
Parking Closure Request – Ree Street from Club approach to Foss approach, October 1
The Pierre City Commission meeting begins at 5:30pm at City Hall. It includes time for public comments.
