A Sioux Falls man convicted of Conspiracy to Distribute a Controlled Substance has been sentenced in federal US District Court.
The punishment for 50 year old Christopher Charles Walker is 240 months in federal prison, followed by five years of supervised release and a special assessment to the Federal Crime Victims Fund in the amount of $100.
The conviction stemmed from incidents beginning on an unknown date and continuing until on or about May 25, 2020, when Walker knowingly conspired with others to distribute 500 grams or more of a mixture or substance of methamphetamine, which is a Schedule II controlled substance. At the time Walker voluntarily joined in the agreement, he knew the purpose of said agreement. Walker distributed over 500 grams of methamphetamine to co-conspirators who, in turn, redistributed it to their drug customers in South Dakota.
Walker was immediately turned over to the custody of the US Marshals Service.
