UPDATE DECEMBER 21, 2021:
A minimum-security state prison inmate who was placed on escape status this past weekend (Dec. 19, 2021) is back in custody.
The South Dakota Department of Corrections says inmate Paul Standing Crow Beck left his work release job site in Rapid City without authorization. He was arrested and taken back into custody today (Dec. 21) and is currently in the Pennington County Jail.
Failure to return from assignment constitutes second-degree escape, a Class 5 felony punishable by up to 5 years in prison.

Minimum-security state prison inmate Paul Standing Crow Beck has been placed on escape status after he left his work release job site in Rapid City yesterday (Dec. 19, 2021) without authorization.
Standing Crow Beck, age 25, is a Native American male. He is five-foot-10 inches tall and weighs approximately 205 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes. He is serving a sentence for third-degree burglary out of Brown County.
If you see Standing Crow Beck or know of his whereabouts, contact law enforcement immediately.
