HARRISBURG – After frustration through most of January for Pierre Governor Boys Basketball, the month’s final game saw sharp play and a convincing win.
Pierre stopped Harrisburg Saturday 65-47 on the road, the Governors’ second win in nine January games.
Lincoln Kienholz had 20 points for Pierre (6-7). Jackson Edman scored 18 and Matthew Hanson tallied 14.
Pierre shot 57 percent from the floor and hit seven-of-12 three pointers, never relinquishing the lead after taking it just over midway through the first quarter.
The Governors will host Yankton Friday at the Riggs High Gym. Coverage will begin at 6:30 on The Official Voice of the Pierre Governors, River 92.7, and on the River 92.7 page at the DRG News app & drgnews.com.
