Stevens, Hoffman, Forman Win At HS Rodeo Showcase

RAPID CITY – Central South Dakota high school rodeo competitors fared well, with three winning, Sunday at the 20X High School Rodeo Showcase at The Monument.

Layni Stevens of St. Lawrence won Goat Tying in a time of 7.2 seconds.  Also, Tate Hoffman of Highmore won Tie-Down Roping in 18.3 seconds and Dale Forman of Ree Heights won Barrel Racing in 14.20 seconds.

Chase Yellowhawk of Blunt finished second in Bareback with a score of 70.  Taylor Burgee of Pierre was fourth in Breakaway Roping at 12.9 seconds.  Grady Aasby of Highmore was third in Steer Wrestling with a time of 5.0 seconds.
