FORT PIERRE – Philip outdistanced Custer to win the 4B boys regional wrestling tournament Saturday at Parkview Auditorium.
The Scotties scored 269 points, with Custer second at 207.5. Lyman was third with 139 points. Mobridge-Pollock finished seventh with 66. Stanley County was ninth with 59.
11 wrestlers qualified for state from Philip, including seven region champions. Seven qualified for Lyman, including one weight-class winner. Mobridge-Pollock qualified three wrestlers for state, with one region champion. Stanley County qualified three, including Chase Hanson, Colton Brady and Levi Stover.
SDHSAA state wrestling will begin Thursday at the Denny Sanford Premier Center in Sioux Falls.
