State Short Course championships completed the winter season for the Pierre Swim Team recently. The 12 & under meet was held February 25-27 in Pierre at the Oahe Family YMCA. From March 3-6, the 13 & over meet took place at the Mitchell Activity Center. 68 athletes represented the Pierre Swim Team. Finley Ellwein finished third in points in boys 9-10, Michelle Weiss was second in girls 15-16, Mason Ward-Zeller placed fourth in boys 15-16 and Ella Ward-Zeller was fourth in girls 17-19.
Four PST swimmers, Ella Ward-Zeller, Canyon Jones, Michelle Weiss and Mason Ward-Zeller, qualified for the North Central Speedo Sectionals meet from March 10-13 in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin.
