Fort Pierre residents who want to listen to city council meetings remotely have been able to do so since shortly after the COVID-19 pandemic began. Now, thanks to a $4500 donation, they can see and hear the meetings more clearly.
Gary and Connie Grittner presented the council with a check to pay for the OWL video and audio system.

Audio PlayerThe Fort Pierre City Council currently meets in the South Dakota Municipal League meeting room, so the audio system needed to be portable.
Audio PlayerThe Fort Pierre City Council meets the first and third Mondays each month at 6:30pm– except on holidays when the meetings are moved to a Tuesday night. Each meeting’s agenda includes information on how to log in through Zoom to watch the meetings as they are conducted.
