JUNE 21, 2022:
A state prison inmate who was placed on escape status earlier this month is back in custody.
Inmate Malcolm Little Brave was arrested in Rapid City Saturday (June 18, 2022).
Little Brave left his community service jobsite in Rapid City without authorization June 2 and failed to return to the Rapid City Community Work Center. Failure to return to custody following an assignment constitutes second-degree escape, a Class 5 felony punishable by up to five years in prison.

A minimum-security state prison inmate has been placed on escape status.
Inmate Malcolm Little Brave left his community service jobsite in Rapid City without authorization June 2, 2022, and failed to return to the Rapid City Community Work Center.
Little Brave, age 38, is a Native American male. He is 6-feet-2-inches tall and weighs approximately 230 pounds. Little Brave has black hair and brown eyes.
Little Brave is currently serving a sentence for an aggravated assault conviction from Meade County.
