The Capital Area United Way is looking for a new executive director to lead the organization into its next phase. MaxStrat of Pierre, which has held that job for 2 ½ years, has resigned effective Aug. 12, 2022.
Jenny Bernhard, president of the CAUW board of directors, says they see this search as an exciting opportunity and challenge. She says this is a chance to build on what the organization has accomplished in the past two years with the help of a new vision and renewed enthusiasm.
Bernhard says while the board hopes to hire a new executive director as quickly as possible, the annual Capital Area United Way campaign will start as scheduled later this summer. The campaign raises funds to help 16 agencies that provide various services to people living in Hughes and Stanley counties. The announcement of the campaign and campaign co-chairs will be made later.
Bernhard says the CAUW board is still committed to being a forward-thinking organization that is here to help their partner agencies help those in need.
