Let’s dig into some Feel Good Friday stories together….
1. A seven-year-old named David Diaz Jr, from Binghamton, New York did the Heimlich maneuver and saved his classmate’s life. He learned it from watching the medical drama “The Good Doctor” and knew it was something important he needed to remember.
2. A 51-year-old guy in Maryland just hit the lottery for $50,000 . . . using numbers he got off his Uber driver’s license plate.
3. Three teenage girls were in a car that plunged into a river in Mississippi on Sunday. But a 16-year-old kid who happened to be there saved them all. His name is Corion Evans. He says a friend helped him get all three of them out. Then he also saved a cop who jumped in to help but started drowning.
4. Firefighters near Vancouver, British Columbia rescued a dog that got stuck inside a sewer pipe last Friday and couldn’t turn around. They lowered a hose down through a manhole, hoping he would grab onto it, and he did. Then they pulled him back up, and he was fine. They say he just needed a bath really bad.
5. Six teenagers in Port Jefferson, New York got their high school diplomas last month . . . then stripped off their robes and rushed out of graduation to go put out a FIRE. Someone’s garage went up, and they’re all volunteer firefighters. Luckily, they stopped the fire from spreading, and no one was hurt.
6. A couple in the U.K. recently surprised their wedding guests by announcing the bride was PREGNANT. The groom gave a speech and held up the sonogram photos, so everyone went nuts. Now a video of it is trending on TikTok.
7. If you need a quick pick-me-up, an animal shelter in Michigan posted a video after treating their dogs to “Chicken Nugget Day“. Every dog got a nugget, and they recorded each one to help boost adoptions.
8. Firefighters in east Tennessee saved a kitten that somehow got stuck inside a Pepsi vending machine outside Walmart. An employee named Lindsey Russell was on her lunch break when she heard it yelping. So she called for help, and ended up taking the kitten home after they rescued it.
9. A 90-year-old woman in England who has dementia was starting to need constant care. And her family didn’t know how they’d pay for it, until someone realized a painting above her bed was worth a fortune. It’s called “The Depiction of the Madonna and Child,” and it’s from the 15th century. It recently sold at auction for more than $300,000.
10. Guinness says an 86-year-old woman from Boston named Bette Nash is now the world’s longest-serving flight attendant ever. She’s been at it full-time for almost 65 years. She works for American Airlines, but started with Eastern Air way back in 1957. She’s also the world’s oldest flight attendant, and says she has no plans to retire.
