Capital City Campus (CCC) is excited to welcome Tia Kafka to the Board of Directors.
Tia recently transitioned into the CEO position at the Pierre Area Chamber of Commerce and also joined the CCC Board of Directors, with her new role. Tia and her husband, Joe, have lived in Pierre for 10 years and have two boys. Along with adding a valuable voice to the Board, Tia will also serve on the Marketing Committee for CCC. Her knowledge of tourism and promotion makes her a tremendous asset for the organization.
Kafka joins an amazing group of people currently elected to the CCC Board of Directors. The Board is led by Chair Tom Hart, Vice Chair Marcia Hultman, Treasurer Laurie Mikkonen, and Secretary Ron Woodburn. Others on the Board include Dan Baldwin, Natasha Bothun, Kelly Glodt, Mayor Gloria Hanson, Mayor Steve Harding, Scott Jones, Karna Pfeffer, Robert Riter, Jamie Seiner, and Rhea Waldman.
The Board of Directors is currently encouraging interested citizens to enroll in postsecondary programs offered at CCC, with new cohorts beginning in August 2022. Those programs include the DWU Learn & Earn Program, LATC Licensed Practical Nursing, and English Composition I through SDSU.
CCC also offers Driver Education, meeting room rentals, test proctoring, and office space is available for those with a connection to education.
We encourage anyone with questions regarding program offerings to contact Capital City Campus at info@capitalcitycampus.org or 605.773.2160.
