The Board of Directors of The Right Turn in Pierre announced that Nancy Schlichenmayer will be retiring in February 2023.
Schlichenmayer has been with The Right Turn for over three years. She started as an Early Childhood Specialist in 2018 and became the Executive Director in May of 2020.
Board President Shawn Lyons says they have begun a candidate search and plan to have a new person in place by December (2022). He says the relationship The Right Turn has with the public and state agency partners is paramount to success, so the next Executive Director must have a hands on approach to relationship building.
Lyons says they’re looking for candidates who have experience approaching education in unconventional ways and who care deeply about meeting the educational needs of learners with diverse backgrounds and goals.
The Right Turn is a Capital Area United Way Participating Agency.
