State Capitol flags at half-staff today to honor of former State Senator Henry Carlson, Jr.

South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem has ordered that flags be flown at half-staff at the State Capitol from sunrise until sunset today (July 19, 2022) in honor of former State Senator Henry Carlson, Jr. of Sioux Falls. He served in the State Senate from 1977-1978 and from 1983-1984.

Funeral services for Carlson are at 11am today at Calvary Episcopal Church in Sioux Falls.
