Kyle woman charged with Grand Theft, Aggravated Eluding and Child Endangerment after Sunday evening chase in Walworth County

On Sunday (July 24, 2022) at approximately 8:30pm, a vehicle was reported stolen, though the Regional Dispatch Center, from the Dollar General in Mobridge. It was reported that a female by the name of Miracle Scouts Enemy was the driver. It was also learned that two small children were reported to be inside of the vehicle.

A Deputy Sheriff with Walworth County Sheriff’s Office observed the vehicle, just north of Selby, heading south into Selby. The Deputy Sheriff activated his emergency lights and siren to initiate a traffic stop.  The vehicle pulled into Selby like it was going to pull over, the vehicle made a right-hand turn into the Selby Motel but continued through the parking lot and back out on to US Highway #12 and accelerated away from the Deputy.

A pursuit was initiated. The pursuit continued on US Highway #12 toward Edmunds County.  Edmunds County was set up at the County line, just West of Bowdle. As the stolen vehicle approached the county line the vehicle turned around and went back West.  The pursuit continued back toward Mobridge where spike strips were used to slowly deflate the air from the vehicles tires and the vehicle came to a stop on Tower Hill, US Highway #12, approximately mile post 195.

The female was removed from the vehicle without further incident. Two small children were also located safe inside of the vehicle and removed and later reunited with family.

The driver of the stolen vehicle was identified as a Miracle Scouts Enemy, a 31-year-old female from Kyle, SD.

Charges: Grand Theft, Aggravated Eluding, and Child Endangerment. Bond has been set at $20,000 dollars.

Other Charges: Detainer form South Dakota Parole out of Sioux Falls and Felony warrant out of Minnehaha County, Sioux Falls.
