Runoff into the Missouri River system improved slightly in July.
Ryan Larsen with the US Army Corps of Engineers in Omaha has the numbers.
Larsen says the runoff came from above normal rainfall in parts of the basin.
Larsen says soil moisture levels continue to drop.
Releases from Gavins Point Dam at Yankton are at 25-thousand cubic feet per second and are expected to rise slowly to meet downstream navigation demands.
