A young man working toward earning his Eagle Scout badge has come up with a plan to put permanent corn hole boards in one of Pierre’s city parks.
Andrew Page began planning his project in February (2022).
Parks and Recreation Director Bryan Tipton says after discussions with Page and the park board, they settled on making the addition to Devine Park.
Tipton says the four pairs of corn hole boards would be permanently in place and will be BYOB– which in this case means bring your own bags.
Tipton says the area for the boards in Devine Park will be on space that previously held tennis courts.
Those wanting to sponsor a board or donate to Page’s Eagle Scout project can contact Tipton via email or by calling 605-773-2527. The City of Pierre will collect the funds and order the corn hole boards, but NO city money will be used for the project.
