Put a kettle on! Research from the U.S. National Institutes of Health has discovered a connection between tea and heart health.
The results suggest that regular consumption of black tea is associated with a reduction in heart disease mortalities. However, as this research primarily focused on white, middle-aged men as its participants, more study is needed to see how tea and mortality are linked in other demographics.
“Studies should be done with repeated measurements of tea consumption over time,” professor Fernando RodrÃguez Artalejo suggested.
