If you missed Ozzy Osbourne’s halftime performance last week during the Los Angeles Rams’ season opener at SoFi Stadium, there’s good news! Ozzy fans now can watch the full performance on his YouTube channel. The show also featured longtime band members Zakk Wylde and Tommy Clufetos along with Chris Chaney for a medley of Ozzy’s new album title track, “Patient Number 9,” along with his legendary classic “Crazy Train.”
The new album was released last Friday (September 9th). It’s Ozzy’s 13th solo studio album and marks the first time ever that Black Sabbath co-founder and guitarist Tony Iommi appears on an Ozzy solo album.
Patient Number 9 also features guitarists Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Mike McCready of Pearl Jam, and Zakk Wylde who plays on the majority of the tracks. Chad Smith of Red Hot Chili Peppers played drums, while the late Taylor Hawkins of Foo Fighters appears on three songs. Old friend and one-time Ozzy band member Robert Trujillo of Metallica played bass on most of the album’s tracks, with Duff McKagan of Guns N’ Roses and Chris Chaney supplying bass on a few songs.
