A few years back the New Jersey pizza chain Villa Italian Kitchen introduced America to the (horror / wonder) of the pumpkin spice pizza. The dish had dough smothered in pumpkin pie filling, which was then covered in a layer of mozzarella cheese. Another layer of pumpkin pie filling was piled on once it was out of the oven. A spokesman for Villa Italian Kitchen said: “It’s a magical place where all the deliciousness of pizza meets the flavors of pumpkin spice.” Not sure if Villa Italian Kitchen is still creating this thing, but if you google “pumpkin spice pizza” you can find a number of recipes
