4. The longest-serving mayor in the U.S., as far as we know, is Bob Blais, who’s been the mayor of Lake George, New York since 1971. He’s 85, and he says he’s serving his final term. He’ll leave office next year.
5. The fastest animal in the world is the peregrine falcon, which flies at 242 miles per hour. The cheetah is the fastest land animal, at about 75 miles per hour, but only the 11th fastest overall.
