If seeing Dolly Parton in concert is on your bucket list, you better get on it. In an interview with “Pollstar“, she said she won’t be doing full tours anymore. She’s NOT retiring, but she is slowing down.
Quote, “I don’t think I’ll ever tour again. I’ll do special shows here and there, maybe a long weekend or a festival. But I have no intention of going on a full-blown tour. I’ve done that my whole life, and it takes so much time and energy.”
She wants to stay close to home with her husband Carl Dean. Quote, “We’re getting older, and I don’t want to be gone for weeks at a time. Something could happen. I wouldn’t feel right if I were gone and somebody needed me.”
She’s still recording that rock album, so they asked if she has any “dream duet partners”. She’s planning to ask Ed Sheeran, Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart, her goddaughter Miley Cyrus, and Chris Stapleton.
