SD legislator sees both Nov. 8 ballot questions as being bad for South Dakota

At least one South Dakota legislator is hoping voters don’t pass either of the two questions on today’s (Nov. 8, 2022) ballot.

District 28 Senator Ryan Maher from Isabel is an insurance agent and is also a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee. He says neither Initiated Measure 27 nor Constitutional Amendment D are good for the state.

IM27 would legalize recreational cannabis use for those age 21 years and over while Amendment D would expand Medicaid coverage in the state.
