Lost recordings of Todd Rundgren have surfaced and will be released next month as a box set.
The songs were originally recorded to spread across two LPs with his band, The Nazz. They were eventually scrapped and some were later released on 1971’s III.
These tracks are taken directly from the original master acetates of the rough mix of Nazz’s second album, 1969’s Nazz Nazz. This also showcases Rundgren’s first turn at mixing.
The set will be available in two forms… three CD or four LPs that includes a full-color booklet and an extensive interview with engineer James Lowe, plus several rare photos. As an added bonus, the collection will include a recently discovered acetate of “Hello, It’s Me.”
Todd Rundgren’s – Nazz Lost Masters & Demos will be released on December 2.
