The Capital City Campus (CCC) Board of Directors honored long-time board member, Robert Riter, at their November 16 board meeting. Riter retired from the Board of Directors after more than two decades, of which he acted as Chair for a majority of that time.
“Bob is an incredible person and CCC has been lucky to have him on their Board of Directors for so long. His historical knowledge about CCC, calm demeanor, and positive outlook will be missed,” says CCC Chair Tom Hart.
Riter has been part of the CCC Board of Directors through many phases of the organization. He recently said that he leaves the board better than he came onto it, believing the current Board is comprised of an impactful group of people.
CCC Executive Director Lindy Geraets says “Bob was incredibly welcoming when I started working with CCC. He has always been more than willing to provide another perspective or helpful feedback, while being kind and understanding. I will miss his wonderful presence on the Board!”
CCC offers the Learn & Earn Associate Degree program through DWU, a Licensed Practical Nursing degree through LATC, Driver Education, meeting room rentals, test proctoring, and office space is available for those with a connection to education.
