Legendary guitarist Jeff Beck died on January 10th at age 78, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
His family issued a statement, which reads: “It is with deep and profound sadness that we share the news of Jeff Beck’s passing. After suddenly contracting bacterial meningitis, he peacefully passed away yesterday. His family ask for privacy while they process this tremendous loss.”
Jeff Beck will forever be remembered for his pioneering work in the Yardbirds after replacing Eric Clapton; the Jeff Beck Group — which originally featured Rod Stewart and Ron Wood; Beck, Bogart & Appice, and on his own.
