Biden administration isn’t banning gas stoves

UNDATED (AP)- Following comments made by a member of the Consumer Product Safety Commission, misleading claims that the Biden administration is planning on banning gas stoves have spread widely across social media platforms this week (Jan. 9-13, 2023). But the commission has since clarified that no such ban is planned and a White House spokesperson said that the president does not support a such a ban. The commission is seeking public input concerning emissions from gas stoves and how to address potential risks.
