The School Administrators of South Dakota (SASD) held a luncheon at the Ramkota Convention Center to recognize the eight Outstanding Administrators of South Dakota. Each was nominated by their respective administrator parent groups. They are:
- Julie Marshall, Middle School Principal, Timber Lake School District
- Chantal Ligtenberg, Elementary Principal, Meade School District
- Dr. Steve Willard, Superintendent, Belle Fourche School District
- Marie Ivers, Special Education Director, Milbank School District
- Collin Knudson, High School Principal, Tea School District
- Brad Hatzler, Assistant High School Principal, Harrisburg School District
- Trista Olney, Business Manager, Douglas School District
- Dr. Michelle Vande Weerd, Curriculum Director, Brookings School District
Following the luncheon, the Outstanding Administrators were presented on the floors of the House and Senate and recognized with a legislative commemoration.
The Outstanding Administrators Luncheon is an annual event sponsored by the School Administrators of South Dakota, a statewide professional organization for school Administrators in South Dakota.
