It’s Friday and you know what that means…some positive and good news stories for a Feel Good Friday!
1. Late last month, cops in Virginia were trying to help a deer that got stuck on scaffolding next to a busy highway. It got away and ran ACROSS the highway, but somehow managed to dodge four different cars. A cop’s body-cam got it on video. It’s like watching a game of “Frogger”. (Here’s the video.)
2. On Saturday, an 83-year-old guy in Iowa was driving his Jeep across a frozen lake, where his son was ice fishing. The ice wasn’t thick enough, and his Jeep fell through. But a 17-year-old kid saw it happen, and rescued him AND his dog.

6. How’s this for karma? 13 years ago, a five-year-old girl in Canada named Juliette Lamour heard about the 2010 earthquake that rocked Haiti. So she donated all the money in her piggy bank to the Red Cross . . . $61.38. Cut to 2023: Juliette recently turned 18 years old . . . bought her very first lottery ticket . . . and just won $48 MILLION. They presented her with her giant check last week. (Here’s a photo, and here she is as a kid.)
7. People are saying this guy should go on “Shark Tank” with this idea: A husband in Dallas wanted to help his pregnant wife sleep better. She likes sleeping on her stomach, but couldn’t for obvious reasons. So he bought a memory foam mattress topper . . . cut a big hole in it for her belly . . . and put it on top of their bed. People online were so impressed, he’s now patented the idea, and he’s accepting pre-orders on eBay.
8. Kids at an elementary school in Wisconsin may have just set a new record by using more than 7,000 cereal boxes as dominoes. The line wrapped through the school’s hallways and into the gym. They think they beat the record, but they’re waiting for Guinness to confirm it. All of the cereal was donated to food banks.
9. A dog that was dumped in the desert in Nevada was rescued after living more than six months with a pack of coyotes. They accepted him, and he may have even been the alpha. Some trappers finally managed to catch him in a cage. His rescuers say he’ll be okay and loves humans.
10. 14 dogs in Germany broke a world record for most dogs in a conga line. It happened in August, but Guinness just posted the footage. The previous record of nine was held by the trainer’s daughter. So he actually snatched it away from her. (Here’s the video.)

But last month, she found a bag on the ground with $15,000 in it, and STILL turned it in. Police figured out the money belonged to two newlyweds who’d just gotten married that day. One cop’s wife was so impressed with Diane’s honesty, she started a GoFundMe for her that’s now raised over 60 GRAND.
12. A 76-year-old woman in Wisconsin lost her balance while taking out her trash last month, and fell in a freezing-cold creek. But thankfully, her UPS driver found her, carried her inside, called 911, and saved her life.
13. Did you hear about the cat in New Jersey that got returned to a shelter for being too affectionate? The people were first-time cat owners, and couldn’t deal with it jumping up on their laps all the time. But here’s the good news: The shelter shared the story online, and immediately got 50 applications to adopt him. So he’s got a new home now . . . and the extra attention also helped them adopt out almost all of the other cats they had too.
