FALLSTON, Md. (AP) — Authorities in Maryland have arrested a man accused of shooting two police officers and stealing a detective’s vehicle during a 39-hour manhunt. Harford County Sheriff Jeffrey Gahler says they stopped the pickup with spike strips and federal, state and local law enforcement surrounded the suspect in a wooded area near a shopping mall in Fallston. They took him into custody about 5:45 a.m. Friday. It all began Wednesday (Feb. 8, 2023) as officers were called to check on a person in crisis. Police say 24-year-old David Linthicum wounded an officer and got away. A doctor says the second officer is on life support after being shot multiple times in the torso.
