SIOUX FALLS – Though the Pierre Governor girls had a winless team on the schedule, this game was no less important than any other. And Pierre showed by their play that they knew this.
Reese Terwilliger matched a career-high with 20 points on Friday as Pierre ran past Sioux Falls Roosevelt 57-26 at Roosevelt High School.
Terwilliger was 8-for-11 shooting with six rebounds to lead Pierre (16-3). Remington Price scored nine points and hit two three-pointers. Ayvrie Kaiser added eight points. Lennix DuPris scored five points with eight assists and three steals.
Pierre never trailed, building up a 10-point lead in the first four and a half minutes and a 37-12 halftime advantage. The Governors’ lead was as much as 40 in the third quarter.
Pierre shot 47 percent from the field, limited Roosevelt (0-19) to 25 percent shooting, and forced 20 Rough Rider turnovers.
