At Wednesday’s (March 8th) meeting of the Walworth County Commission, a request was on the agenda to discuss moving load limit signs about 200 feet back on the drive-in road in Mobridge. Commissioner Kevin Holgard said Highway Superintendent Gary Byre thinks that road might not be a county road. Commissioner Justin Jungwirth then made a motion to leave the load limit signs as they are and the full commission approved.

A joint powers agreement with True North Steel of Huron to purchase culverts from the Beadle County bid for fiscal year 2023 was approved.
A surplus value was set for an in-place timber structure that is currently being advertised for sealed bids. The amount set, $3823.00, is the average of the three appraisals submitted by Highway Superintendent Byre, Harley Overseth, and Scott Schilling.
The signing of a joint agreement with Basin Electric, Campbell County, and Walworth County was tabled so that clarification can be obtained regarding Basin Electric providing $40,000.00 toward the project.
New Business
The Walworth County Commission’s next meeting date was changed from March 21st to March 28th.
