Rawlins Municipal Library in Pierre closing early today for active shooter training

Rawlins Municipal Library in Pierre is closing early this evening (March 14, 2023).

Library Director Abby Edwardson says it’s so staff and trustees can participate in an active shooter training.

Edwardson says the training counts toward the library’s accreditation, which is up for renewal this year.

Rawlins Library closes at 5:15pm CT today and will reopen at regular time tomorrow.
