FULL STORY: If it turns out these idiots had a massive vat of ice cream that needed eating, maybe we’ll give ’em a break . . .
The owners of a Dairy Queen in Phoenix are hoping someone comes forward after three people stole a 15-FOOT RED SPOON that was bolted to the ground outside.
It happened early in the morning on March 25th while the place was closed. The spoon was anchored to the ground and was a popular spot for photos. Kids would sit in it while parents took their picture.
Three people showed up with a flatbed trailer. So it wasn’t a spur-of-the-moment thing. They obviously planned it.
There’s security footage where you can see their faces pretty well. It was two men and a woman. But last we heard, cops still hadn’t I.D.’d them.
Police are hoping someone turns them in. They said that “if you’re driving down the street and see a giant red spoon hanging out [of someone’s] car,” you should definitely report it.
The owners say if someone just drops it back off, they won’t ask questions. But it cost $3,500, and twice that with delivery and installation. So if cops catch them, they’re looking at felony charges.
The owners also offered a reward. If someone finds the spoon and reports it, they get a free Blizzard in every flavor this summer. (AP / Fox10)
