Seems like Americans aren’t quite ready to give up the gas guzzler! The percentage of Americans who are very unlikely to buy an electric vehicle as their next car has grown from 17.8% to 21% between January and March.
High purchase price and a lack of charging stations were top reasons for not wanting an electric vehicle, as was charging time. Respondents also were wary of how well an EV would perform in extreme temperatures. Even the younger generations aren’t entirely on board: 33% of Gen Z responded that they were somewhat or very unlikely to buy an EV.
