FULL STORY: Sunday is Mother’s Day, which is exciting if you’re a mother . . . and stressful if you have a mother, but haven’t bought a gift yet. You are not alone, though.
In a new survey, 11% of people say they usually buy Mother’s Day gifts ON Mother’s Day, or the day before.
The most popular response was two weeks in advance, 32% of people do that. 28% of people wait until one week before . . . and 24% plan ahead, and buy a gift one month in advance. 4% of people don’t buy Mother’s Day gifts.
The most popular last-minute gift is flowers, which makes sense, especially if you’re not relying on delivery. Some brave souls shop for CLOTHING at the last minute, which would be easier WITH mom. Gift cards are third, followed by jewelry. (Another “World’s Best Mom” mug didn’t make the list.)
75% of people will buy a greeting card . . . either physical cards, online cards, or both. (Here’s a tip, especially for young people: A handmade card is VERY much appreciated . . . even if mom never taught you to be creative.)
