The smoke from wildfires in Canada has settled into South Dakota causing hazy conditions and air quality concerns.
Weatherology meteorologist Jennifer Wocjcicki says a weather front pushed the smoke south.
She says the smoke travels by rising high up into the atmosphere, then getting a “ride” back down.
Wocjcicki says today (May 18, 2023) should be the worst day for smoke settling into the region, then it should start to thin out.
