RAPID CITY – Once again, Jones County’s girls golfers will take part in the state tournament.
The Coyotes finished second Monday in the Region 6B tournament at Hart Ranch Golf Course.
Jones County shot 320 to finish second, 54 strokes behind regional champion and defending Class B state champion Bison. Kamri Kittleson shot 90 for the Coyotes to finish third individually. Tayah Anderson shot 113 and Savannah Hendricks fired a 117 for Jones County, who qualified for the 2022 state tourney.
Also qualifying for the state tournament was Taylor O’Connell of Philip, who was eighth individually with 103.
The Class B girls state tournament will be held June 5 and 6 at Cattail Crossing Golf Course in Watertown.
